Zeus is an online athlete data management system for National Olympic Committees (NOCs), Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs), National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and other multisport organisations. It has one database allowing the management of multiple Games/competition at the same time and the easy transfer of data from one Games/competition to another.
The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC)/Commonwealth Games Singapore (CGS) had the privilege of having Ms Denise Yuen from Canada with us from 22 September to 22 December 2012 under the Capacity Support Programme (CSP), supported by the Commonwealth Games Federation and the Commonwealth Games Canada. The goal of the CSP is to assist Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs) enhance their organizational capacity in a sustainable manner and thereby contribute to the development of their Games Teams, Sport and the peoples it serves.
Zeus was rolled out to forty-eight National Sports Associations (NSAs) and staff from the Singapore Sports Council. Briefing on the system was also provided to staff from the SEA Games 2015 Secretariat. Key NSA High Performance staff went through a two-hour practical session and the general feedback was positive. The SNOC/CGS utilised the Zeus system for the registration for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in January 2013 and will be using it for Major Games, starting with the Southeast Asian Games in December 2013.
The SNOC/CGS would like to thank the Olympic Solidarity, Commonwealth Games Federation and Commonwealth Games Canada, and of course Denise, for supporting this Programme.
