Molly Tay represented Singapore at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games when she was just 12.

 

The following year, the butterfly swimmer became one of Singapore’s first female representatives at the Seap Games in 1965. She went on to study at Brigham Young University in Utah, a path that many Singaporean swimmers would follow.

 

She won 11 medals at the Seap Games from 1965 to 1969 and won the 4x100m freestyle relay bronze at the 1966 Asian Games with fellow Olympian Jovina Tseng.

 

The retired swimmer now lives in Westchester, New York.
