The silver medal - on the global stage, no less, is a clear affirmation of her tremendous talent. It marks how much she has stepped up since she came into the limelight - first in 2004 with medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games and the Singapore Open (Youth Division) and then in 2005 when she clinched SEA Games silver at the Masters fianl. In 2006, she was the Women's Open Masters Championship in the 37th AIA Singapore National Bowling Championship.

This year, the youngster has already shown her determination to continue her winning ways with her triumph at the 31st Malaysian International Open help in Kuala Lumpur. More is expected of her in the coming months and years. Meanwhile, however, she certainly deserves to bask in glory as Singapore's new Sportsgirl of the Year.
