Vanessa Loh is a former national archer who competed in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games. She took part in both the individual and mixed team events, reaching the round of 16 in the latter.
The plucky sportswoman trained overseas once a year since the age of 15 in a bid to further her sporting ambition. Her father, an archery coach, encouraged her to also take time off her studies to qualify for the YOG.
The same year, she became part of Singapore’s first female archery squad at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Although she eventually stopped competing on the world stage, she continued to dominate the local scene in university. She is currently a registered archery coach.
