SNOC elects new vice-presidents

Singapore, 23 September 2020 – Mrs Jessie Phua and Ms Juliana Seow were elected as Vice-Presidents of the Singapore National Olympic Council at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. They will serve from 2020-2024.
They join incumbent vice-presidents Mr Milan Kwee and Dr Benedict Tan, who are serving a four-year term from 2018-2022.
The AGM was held via electronic means this year due to Covid-19-related considerations. 225 delegates representing 45 Ordinary members, 4 Associate members and 5 Provisional members National Sports Associations (NSAs) attended the meeting via video conferencing.
Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, President of the SNOC, paid tribute to outgoing vice-president Dr Tan Eng Liang. Dr Tan did not seek re-election and is stepping down from the SNOC after 28 years of service. Said Tan, “Dr Tan has been a dedicated and selfless servant to sport in Singapore. He passionately cares about our sports and athletes, and he is irreplaceable for what he brings to the table. We thank him for the decades that he has poured into sport, and wish him a happy retirement.”
