The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) fully supports its Vice President Ng Ser Miang’s candidature for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Presidency. The SNOC believes that with his wealth of experience in sports development, and strong background in corporate governance and international relations, Ser Miang will be able to take on the role and challenges of the position.

“I am very happy that Ser Miang has offered himself as a candidate for the IOC Presidency,” says Mr Teo Chee Hean, President of SNOC. “He has played a pivotal role in the growth of sport in Singapore and contributed greatly to the development of youth sport internationally. He believes in sport for all, and has worked tirelessly, to bring out the best in people and uniting everyone through sport. Having seen how he inspires his teams with his vision and leadership, I am confident that if elected President of the IOC, Ser Miang will be able to build on the good work that has been achieved and lead the Olympic movement to greater heights.”

The IOC will be electing a new President during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 10 September 2013. Ser Miang has declared his candidature for the IOC Presidency at a press conference in Paris, France earlier today.
