Singapore, 20 September 2025 – The Singapore Olympic Academy (“SOA”) is organising its 30th Annual Academic Session from 20–22 September 2025.

Held in conjunction with Singapore’s 60th birthday and with “The Future of Sport” as its fitting theme, this milestone session is set to take place in a hybrid format to allow for meaningful dialogue and input on Olympic Education from the global Olympic family.

With a robust programme in place, the SOA is privileged to have representatives from the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Academy, namely: Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos – President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee; Dr. Charilaos Tsolakis – President of the International Olympic Academy, Dr Makis Asimakopoulos – Director of the International Olympic Academy and Ms. Alexandra Karaiskou, Head of NOCs/NOAs Relations at the IOA. All four Greek delegates will deliver addresses and keynote lectures, contributing to the Session’s rich programme that explores the evolving landscape of sport in a rapidly changing world.

At the same time, a sharing by Ms Baroom Al-Batool, CEO of the Saudi Olympic Academy, promises to provide attendees with key take-aways as she speaks on building a culture of Olympism.

Topping it all off is the presentation of the Inaugural SOA Coach Awards to 7 individuals who have gone beyond the game by nurturing athletes with life skills that build confidence and character on and off the field. These coaches are the embodiment of the Olympic Values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship.

A total of 17 foreign delegates from 10 Asian countries will be in attendance alongside local delegates consisting of Physical Educators, Sports Administrators and representatives from various National Sports Associations.
